Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephrata that is Bethlehem. Jacob erected a memorial over her grave and this memorial marks Rachel's grave to this day.

Herodium
The Herodium stands in the wilderness of Judea 8 km from Bethlehem,Here Herod the Great in memory of his victory over Antigonous in 42 B.C.built on the summit of this hill a fortress called herodium.Herod died in Jericho but his body was buried here.There is no trace of his tomb however.
