ince 1939, Gospel Recordings has been using recorded message to communcate God's truths, even in areas where there is no
missionary activity. the goal of gospel recordings is to give ALL languages audio cassette that clearly explain the way of salvation in a simple
and culturally relevant form.The cassette tape is a great way to tell people of christ and an exellent teaching tool for church planting. GR has made Audio Gospel message in about 4,700 language and tongues.
In order to provide the message in ALL of the world's languages, recordings are still needed in at least 4,000 more languages and dialects.
Gospel recordings started in Los Angeles, now has grown up an international recordings ministry for the
Unreached People in 20 countries.
In korea, ARM(Audio Recordings Mission) is working,
associated with Gospel Recordings and LRI.
here are exciting day as we see our lord building his churches, and drawing to himself people from
every tribe, tongue and nation.
despite encouraging progress though, there are still many barriers hindering the Gospel from being
clearly understood.One such obstacle is the ILLITERACY BARRIER with an estimated two billion poeple in the world unable to read. another is the LANGUAGE BARRIER with over 8,000 languages and dialects being spoken today.
As we consider the great commission, we need th be prayfully mindful of these enormous obstacles, but praise the lord he has put tools into the hands of his churches that are grandually overcoming these barriers.
Thanks th the tireless work done by bible translators, nearly 2,000 language groups have either a scripture portion, a new testment or a bible anailable to them. these are vital if the church is to mature within the people groups.
However, statistics compiled in 1992 by David Barrier(editor of the world christian encyclopedia)place the count of non-readers
worldwide at very close to two billion. despite the agencies to teach literacy, this figure could rise to 2.4 billion by the year 2000.
