Croatia

 [Flag] Croatia is a crescent-shaped country located between the Danube River and the Adriatic Sea in Europe. The land is almost bisected by Bosnia and the Serbian controlled Krajina area of Croatia. The Declared independence in 1991 from a serb dominated Yugoslavia was followed by invasion and bitter warfare. At present a multi-party democracy, though stunted by war and authoritarian nationalism. The new constitution is likely to grant complete religious freedom, and churches are beginning to grow after decades of decline. Only a few evangelicals exist on the Adriatic coast. The Croatian refugee situation is difficult. Croatia hosts a multitude of its own people as well as many thousands of Bosnians.
