 [Flag] The Netherlands is situated in Western Europe, on the coast of the North Sea. Over 40% of its land was created by pumping water from the sea, lakes, or swamps and then building an earthen dike to keep the ocean out. The Netherlands has a strong diversified economy
based on industry, agricultural, and trade.

The Netherlands has historically been one of the world's greatest trading nations. It is governed by a stable constitutionaly monarchy. Currently it faces the problem of a declining work force as much of the population is cared for completely by the govenment.

Though the Netherlands has freedom of religion, secularization and legislation threaten that freedom. Though most of the population professes Christianity, a vast number of the people are secularized. Today the Netherlands is infamous for its decadent and permissive society.
