Sierra Leone

 [Flag] Sierra Leone is located on the Atlantic coast of West Africa. Its potential wealth from diamonds and minerals was squandered through corruption and mismanagement, and
the economy was left at the point of collapse.

Sierra Leone was founded in 1797 as a home for freed slaves. It became independent from Britain in 1961. A one party system ended in a military coup in 1992, bringing to power a new government that introduced multi-party politics and promised to deal with corruption.

Sierra Leone has religious freedom and was the first West African country to be evangelized. Growth of Christianity has been slow, and many peoples are still unreached.
