The Unreached Peoples Prayer Profiles
Kazakstan

[Flag] The Republic of Kazakhstan dominates Central Asia and the trade routes between east and west. A member of the USSR from 1936-91, Kazaks re-elected the Communist Party after independence in 1991.

Although the Communist suppression of religion has given way to greater toleration, the Kazaks have had little valid opportunity to hear the gospel and are nominally Muslim. Kazakstan's cultural and religious diversity make this land strategic for evangelizing most of the various Central Asian peoples.
